《親愛的奧菲利亞》 “Dear Ophelia”

作品取自莎士比亞的悲劇作品《哈姆雷特》（Hamlet）（又名《王子復仇記》）的一個場景，Ophelia的愛人Hamlet刺死了她的父親。面對摯愛與親人的矛盾，Ophelia徹底崩潰，整天唱著古怪的歌遊蕩，最終精神錯亂，失足掉落水中溺斃。

Ophelia的死亡被譽為文學中最具詩意的死亡場景之一。

Millais畫下了Ophelia編織花圈、正要掛上樹枝上卻跌下的一幕；面對死神，Ophelia不但沒有掙扎，還異常地平靜躺著，攤開手與花兒融為一體，目光投放在遙遠的他方。或者就在那解脫了的國度，她才能坦然接受命運對她的玩弄。
